Never heard of this system? Is it even possible for EDC to isolate one house when load shedding the whole neighbourhood?What is the score with power outages nowadays? I know SR still has quite a few, are they still common in PP and do they still have that two tier system with electricty so you can pay the higher rate and be more guaranteed a continuous service?
The load shedding does seem to avoid areas with certain villas, so live next to one of them villas if you want continuous power or get a backup genset. That's the only system I know.
There's still the odd power cut, but I experience maybe 1/20th the number of outages in BKK2 compared to what I used to experience in Boeung Tompun. Maybe 4 times this year the power has gone out - only once for more than an hour.
