open net fiber optic
Just had opennet fibre optic installed in my studio in SHV.
$195 for 6 1/2 months with prepayment. no installation or equipment fees. In theory a 15mbs plan.
Signed up yesterday. Installed this morning.
Time will tell if it is worth it.

Note to self: Must be nice to morons.
They just installed it at our place and its shit.
Slow speeds then non at all. We had Ezeecom before and they were OK.

Had exactly the same... now hovers around the 20/30 mark.
Plenty fast enough for streaming 1080p TV and Movies.
Sure you can pay those robbing c*nts at Ezecom 10x per month for the same service... but where is the fun in that?

Ezecom is now 100% owned and run by Khmers.
I've heard they are concentrating their efforts to existing and new bigger corporates, rather than the pissy population.

I'm with digi and just upgraded from their cable to fibre. 7am til midnight it's 6Mb and after it's 50Mb. $17/month.Does open net have increased bandwidth out of hours?
Hats off to Open Net.
I called them today and they said they'd be round in 20 mins. They were.
5 mins to sign the contract etc. and they said they'd be back on Friday to fit the apparatus.
Bunged the guy a sawbuck and asked if tomorrow was possible. He said they'd be here between 2 and 3pm.
So far, ferkin good service.

They've called me a few times over the past few years to tell me that from internal tests they see that my internet isn't working as it should and an engineer will be out within the hour to fix it.RobW wrote:Hats off to Open Net.

Some of these times we hadn't yet noticed an issue.
I can't fault their service.
Yep. Paid 5 months up front and got 8. No boring trips to pay the bill either.
Good on 'em.

Agree Opennet are killing it. Their service is better than Ezecom, their prices are lower by a multiplier and they come to my house to get the money. Short of having an all female and scantily clad installation crew I literally couldn't ask for more.
That said don't use their ADSL (or anyone else's for that matter). Telecom Cambodia is the weak link in that chain. Only use fiber.

^. Oh. What did I buy for $24 a month and 8 megathingeys?
Next one up was $30 for 10, but I really don't use a lot.

You bought the ADSL. The cheapest fiber plan is $39, for some people ADSL is fine, but like I said Opennet can't help the fact that Telecom Cambodia are an absolute shambles.
OpenNet is one of the worst companies on the market. I'm sorry for your loss.
Bless
Bless
Bugger.
Well they were here at 9am. Fastest service I've ever experienced anywhere beyond the Walkabout khazi.
