S8+ keeps saying "moisture detected in charging port"
My S8+ keeps saying "moisture detected in charging port". But, I'm pretty sure that I didn't even touch it with wet hands.I cannot charge the device due to this problem. If someone know how to solve this, please help.
It does detect conductivity between the leads and by default it says "moisture". But it could also be, there is some conductive dirty stuff in there. Avocado remnants or whatever. Cleaning with pressure air might solve the issue.
I had a look online to see if android7 is still supported. No.
Could be a bug too.
Suggest removing sim, smash phone up and recycle.

Leave it overnight submerged in a bowl of rice (uncooked).
Because it was a racist post.

Could you not have deleted the "racist" bit with a sign of some sort and left the useful information stand as it really is a solution to the ladies problem.

I frequently have this on my Samsungs (currently on a S20+, previously a S7), usually after going for a run in the rain. I just leave it for a couple of hours and then it is back to normal. I guess it is just a safety feature.

I have heard of this method several times..But, I haven't tried myself.. Perhaps this could help me..Actually, there couldn't be any moisture in it. If it is, rice will absorb it..Thank youGuest wrote: ↑Wed Sep 09, 2020 3:07 pmLeave it overnight submerged in a bowl of rice (uncooked).
The rice thing is a myth. Leaving in a room with a/c running is a better bet. The best is if you have some of the little packages that come in certain products that are specifically designed to absorb water.
The uncooked rice works, albeit slow.
Put some 10-20 uncooked rice grains in the salt-shaker and the salt does not get sticky.
Silica also an option.
However, if the device did not dry out naturally by now, it's unlikely, uncooked rice, silica or whatever is going to work. More likely something sticky and conducting got in the USB opening.
