After a big pruning of the cables on the street I no longer have Digi Internet. After many years of above average service they say they can no longer provide service in my area. So the hunt is on again for a provider.
First up Smart@home - Reason - Can get today.
Digi said to come and get my deposit back, wonder if they'll refund this months payment also?

That’s funny, they told me it was their policy to not refund deposits but could not show it in the contract.
When they asked me for the fiber modem back I told them that it was my policy to keep it.
Try their parent company, Sing Meng, and see if they can provide service. Just out of curiosity.
Digi are the biggest heap of shit company I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with, by an order of magnitude. Even by Cambodian standards.
I cannot begin to express the depths of my displeasure with Digi. There is nothing that I can say that will begin to describe their incompetence. The fact it took a full eight days for them to even send someone to our house when we had a very clear and obvious issue is just the start. The fact that they lied to us about sending people day after day after day after day isn't even the half of it. The fact they lied on the phone and in writing, and not just once but many many times, couldn't even begin to describe my frustration. By the time they fixed the issue we had already signed up to another provider and had their service installed.
Digi (at least used to) have a big spiel on their front page about how they support work from home. The amount of money I lost during an outage that was caused by something as simple as a broken cable... The problem was exactly what I'd told them it was eight days earlier, but it still took them 13 days to fix it.
They offered in writing to compensate us for the 3G modem and credit that I had to purchase to attempt to continue my work, this never eventuated. The best we were offered was a $4 refund - 1 week of their service - but we had to go to their head office to pick it up. A tuk tuk would cost more than the refund, let alone my time...
We are no longer with them, and will never ever be. If I was in my home country I would take them to small claims court and bury them.
As it stands I have little to no recourse. Nevertheless, I will continue to shit on them verbally at every opportunity, and one day I hope to get the chance to shit on them for real.

Having said that, if such a story were to make the news about someone else, it wouldn't surprise me at all. One of my biggest regrets is not listening to others who had spewed the same vitriol about Digi. People tend to be hyperbolic. It wasn't until I experienced the depths of their ineptitude myself that I realised these people were struggling in the same way I am now.
There simply isn't words.

About 9 years ago we got a court summons from Digi. I think we ended a contract then our manager changed their phone - so when Digi called us to request hardware return they couldn’t get through.
So instead of sending someone to the physical location they enlisted solicitors and gave us a court summons.
On receipt we went to their office, dropped off the requested kit and told them that we were leaving the country soon. Never heard about the court summons again.
