Phnom Penh: Police officials from the Anti-Narcotics Department of the Ministry of the Interior and the Post Police of Kandal Market 1, flanking Sok Roeung, Deputy Prosecutor of the Court of Phnom Penh, confiscated a quantity of ‘ម្សៅក្រាមពណ៌ស’ [powder meth? see photo] after raiding The Candy Bar, located on Street 136 in Psar Kandal 1 Commune, Daun Penh District, at 3:20 pm, 1st of 31 May, 2012.
Local police officials stated that a little after 3 pm of the 31st of May, 2012, anti-narcotics police of the Ministry of the Interior led by Mr. Sok Roeun, Deputy Prosecutor in unison with the Post Police of Psar Kandal 1, raided The Candy Bar, located at the corner of Street 5 and Street 136 in Psar Kandal Commune, Daun Penh District.
As a result of the raid, a 37 year old man, a Nigerian national named Richard, who exported clothes to Africa and resided at the Boeug Kak area of Srah Chok Commune in Daun Penh District, was arrested. After being searched, a large zip bag of ‘ម្សៅក្រាមពណ៌ស’ molded into 3 small chunks was found on his person. Police of the anti-narcotic department did not furnish additional details regarding the arrest of the Nigerian. But an unofficial source stated that the arrest of the suspect was managed with the collaboration of American secret service agents, and that the suspect was part of an international drug trafficking ring encountered by Dangkao District police in a previous arrest.

Could we please all agree to stop picking on Nigerians? They are actually quite lovely people once you get to know them.
And what is this malarkey about the "American secret service agents"? I very much doubt the US Secret Service, with its dual missions of protecting high level US government officials and to "safeguard the nation's financial infrastructure and payment systems to preserve the integrity of the economy" ( ), would have much interest in a small-time drug dealer in a backwater like Phnom Penh. However, they do apparently have a field office in Bangkok. Surely that is a cream-puff posting complete with hardship pay!

I'll do that as soon as they stop doing selling crystal meth and heroin, scamming and doing crimes.DieHard wrote:Could we please all agree to stop picking on Nigerians?
It's a translation from Kohsantepheap newspaper, not an opinion piece by Porkypig. Maybe they meant DEA.And what is this malarkey about the "American secret service agents"?
Romantic Cambodia is dead and gone. It's with McKinley in the grave.
I did a small edit and removed the name of the bar he was at when arrested as the bar was not connected to his arrest or the drugs he was selling.
I refuse to go out with nothing more than a whimper followed by a small farting sound and a shit stain on my bed sheets..
Just thought I'd share that with you.

Very small edit. It's mentioned in your post and every post, and multiple times in the OP!scoffer wrote:I did a small edit and removed the name of the bar he was at when arrested as the bar was not connected to his arrest or the drugs he was selling.

We'll stop reporting Nigerian crimes in Cambodia just as soon as Nigerians stop committing crimes here. Don't hold your breath.
And while I'm at it, we report all busted foreigners so why should Nigerians get a pass. (Fucking white liberals......)
As for the bar in question, it was open yesterday so obviously they weren't complicit in any wrongdoing.

I like that he is handcuffed to the foot rail.
Why, oh why, didn't I take the Blue pill?

He got it sent through the post? Wow. Makes drug smuggling so much easier, I guess.
