yep, i cancelled my friend request. they have a group. the OP provided the link in his OP. I didn't come up in a search on FB for me (seems to be common for that to happen when I search for groups, not sure why)Bosco wrote:Yep, I am very wary of any profiles like this as they get all of your info. A 'page' would definitely have been better.violet wrote:i'm waiting to have my Find Dave Walker friend request (page wouldn't have been better?) on facebook accepted so I can spread it there.

Yeah, right.gavinmac wrote:Seriously, I make it a habit now to always have a copy of my passport and medical insurance paperwork in my pocket at all times. I also carry a credit/debit card on me pretty much all the time. That way, if I turn up at a hospital unconscious and without my pockets having been emptied (unlikely I know) the doctors can identify and treat me.

I don't think I am able to post photos in here. This is the poster. Please post/share/distribute:

Seems to be confusion over the Facebook group. The URL is here:

You do not need to make your personal information available to join. As with most Facebook groups, your personal information is not viewable to other members.
Violet, are you in Siem Reap?

OP, I can't be of much help, but if that can come handy for you, I translated in Khmer the poster's text.
The word doc is here but you need to have Khmer Unicode installed: https://www.dropbox.com/s/5w1lh1hio2aeffv/Missing.docx
Otherwise, there's a PDF here, so you can use the Adobe snapshot function or Windows' snipping tool to make a poster in Cambodian: https://www.dropbox.com/s/meqx26mpd2efgj4/Missing.pdf
My Khmer is rudimentary but functional, I hope. If anybody fluent in Khmer can help correct or improve, you're welcome.

That's very helpful. Thank you. I am in Siem Reap now. I will have it printed out and I will distribute them as I make my way around town.Joon wrote:OP, I can't be of much help, but if that can come handy for you, I translated in Khmer the poster's text.

Logged in just to comment on this... I noticed the poster/posters don't have a phone number on them to indicate what people should do if they HAVE seen him. Especially on the one in Khmer there's a good chance if someone sees it and has information they're not going to know to search the internet/facebook to share it. A contact number may be prudent.
Bye again.
Bye again.

Thank you very much for the poster assistance. Another translation is available here:
OrangeDragon, good point. Working on getting a local contact number. An email address is on the poster in my previous message.
That's the spirit, I'm glad to see you're so upbeat and optimistic.gavinmac wrote: Seriously, I make it a habit now to always have a copy of my passport and medical insurance paperwork in my pocket at all times.
