Foreigner in Merc chases local driver who hit his car
So is he the chap that runs Super Duper? I've run into him (not with my SUV but in person) a few times while shopping there but didn't realize it was the same guy in this thread, if it is. Sorry for the ignorance.

It looks like him. Have met him previously once or twice and he's a good guy.
Fair play to him.
Maybe the crappy driver will do more than just grin and make off next time?
Could stop the prick from killing someone if he's learnt a lesson now.
Another reason to shop in Super Duper!

5 Reasons to Shop at Superduper Supermarket.
1 : The boss - is da boss.
2 : The cashier there in a morning is an absolute honey.
3 : The sandwiches and pies are fucking awesome (Pelican foods I think)
4 : The name is Superduper Supermarket... how fucking awesome is that?
5 : The meat selection is good.
Have to agree with J.R - hopefully the grinning chimps will learn from this - but I doubt it.

Agree on all points except number 2. Perhaps I'm not paying attention in the mornings.
Their Australian Rump steak is especially awesome when they cut it right.

Hmmm, will have to get to SuperDuper early. LOL
Anyway, they have Langers Cranberry juice 32 oz. which no one else has. $1.85/60 baht. A steal. It's $4.50/153 baht in Thailand's Foodland. Ripoff. Now, back to Camry assaults . . .

Seems like those who think he went too far are the people who don't actually drive here.

I don't care about his driving as long as he's ok. Anyone who can get a supermarket like that going is a champ in my book.

Some of the shittiest craziest most aggressive drivers I've seen in S.E. Asia have been foreigners. I had one guy in Saigon once who almost ripped open the side of my abdomen with XL250, with a stupid oversized metal frame with sharp corners on the back of it, doing some batshit manoeuvre during peak hour. Sure the local drivers are selfish and completely illogical in their driving habits, but many foreigners seem to take it a few notches further.LexusSchmexus wrote:Seems like those who think he went to far are the people who don't actually drive here.

Yup. Exactly. Westerners abandon their traffic sense every day. Or maybe they never had any training to begin with and probably had demerit points up their ass. They seem to have a simple-minded view that if the locals can run over the centre line and roll into oncoming traffic gaps, the westerner can do it anytime without concern and at twice the speed and survive. Some don't, witness the daily photos of mangled foreigners on the Thai roadsides. Idiots.sorrynothingpersonal wrote:Some of the shittiest craziest most aggressive drivers I've seen in S.E. I've also been witness to lunatic westerners who believe themselves impervious to the laws of physics, or immune to the effects of alcohol. However, there surely can't be any more crazy group of people to share the roads with than taxi and bus drivers. Just yesterday I had a taxi driver that was intent on sending us both to oblivion until I demanded he slow down - his response? "You pay me more, and I will slow down." Suffice to say his vehicle and his earnings came to an abrupt halt.sorrynothingpersonal wrote:Some of the shittiest craziest most aggressive drivers I've seen in S.E. Asia have been foreigners. Saw this pic and it reminded me of this thread, haha...
I'm not a negative person, I encourage people all the time...it's usually to f**k off! But, whatever.
Its funny that this thread popped up. I was talking to my mate Nev tonight who knocked the guy out through the window. Yes it actually happened, scobboe obviously knows nothing about glass. Toughened glass just shatters its easy to break. Laminated has a plastic film between two layers of glass so it is hard to penetrate. Toughened glass is designed to break into very small pieces, if you go through a laminated glass windscreen it may cut your throat.
