They do seem to be similar organizations in many ways. Interesting stuff. Those cheeky protesters in Paris are probably behind this.

Cambodian civil rights groups combine to condemn Monday's events:
October 27, 2015 - ADHOC, CCHR, CCIM, CLEC, STT and LICADHO strongly condemn yesterday’s violence outside the National Assembly, and at the gate of an opposition leader that left two opposition CNRP MPs injured and bloodied, and call for an immediate independent and transparent investigation into the orchestrated violence. We further express deep concerns over the lack of police action to control a related gathering in front of Kem Sokha’s house, which was surrounded yesterday afternoon by several hundred individuals, some of whom threw rocks at the front gates while others were heard calling for even further violence.

Now the army is joining in.
Great to see young soldiers have political views of their own, surely they're not at all manipulated.

Sounds like the beginning of a Cambodian crystal night scheme. Then obviously they'll blame the opposition for fomenting trouble and unrest.

3 perpetrators (2 from Kandal Province and one from Prey Veng Province) reported themselves and admitted.

http://www.phnompenhpost.com/national/t ... y-beatingsThree of the alleged attackers in last week’s savage gang-bashing of two opposition lawmakers outside the National Assembly turned themselves in and confessed yesterday, the government announced late last evening.
In a statement, Interior Ministry spokesman Khieu Sopheak listed the suspects as Chay Sarith, 33, and Sot Vanny, 45, of Takhmao town in Kandal province, and Mao Hoeun, 34, of Prey Veng province’s Peamro district.
“At 16:30 on 3 November 2015, perpetrators who have injured the two [Cambodia National Rescue Party] lawmakers, Nhay Chamroeun and Kong Sakphea, showed up in front of the commission investigating the case of the injured lawmakers,” Sopheak wrote.
The 3 suspects were sent to the court this morning at 8:30AM.

It is an interesting article by a consummate Cambodia watcher. Also interesting that he somehow made it through the entire article only mentioning Rainsy once, and that just in passing, (in the same sentence with the word "nonsense".) Not sure if the failure to mention Rainsy and his complete lack of action In the face of repeated and growing attacks on the opposition, was intended as a favorable omission intended to obscure this questionable behavior, or if it is an honest reflection of Rainsy's growing irrelevance to the situation in Cambodia. Whichever, it seems a rather big and obvious hole in the reportJudge wrote:Interesting article on the subject by The Diplomat here:

I do not like that Sam I am...
As he could not give a damn...
When there is ire in the house...
He is as quiet as a mouse...
So in a bit, watch him dance...
All the way, back to France...
So out the door, with a slam...

Interior Ministry spokesman Khieu Sopheak said Thursday that the case was a cut-and-dry instance of soldiers reacting to insults.
“Let’s think together: They opened their windows and cursed them as ‘Yuon slaves,’ so therefore they beat them,” General Sopheak said.
“If it were me, I would have used a gun,” he added.
