Damn! I always drank there when in Sihanoukville. Hell of a guy! Had a great time one New Year's Eve/Morning. Maybe only 6 customers total. I shouted a round, then Tony, then someone else, then Tony, etc. At one point he decided that the bar needed "cleaning" so he pulled out all the booze that wasn't moving fast enough. We concocted some strange combinations! Then he decided that we all needed food so we wouldn't be too hungover (too late!) and proceeded to clean out his fridge and kitchen. Nice guy and nice bar in the middle of a lot shit. RIP!

Driving into a tree after midnight suggests that alcohol might have been involved, and from the photos linked on CEO he wasn't wearing a helmet.chkwoot wrote: This is one of the reasons I don't drive here anymore. sad news and another good guy goes down

Always a shock to read about K440 posters dying. Remembered his Charlie Sheen avatar.
Bit spooky, but just searched for his name and the first post i came across was this ;
''What? We're such a healthy fit lot here, what could possibly go wrong ...................... oh oh, anyone care to place bets?''
RIP

Sheer conjecture. Tony had lost a lot of weight recently, had cut back on his drinking and was out on a bicycle nearly every day
“The whole secret lies in confusing the enemy, so that he cannot fathom our real intent.”
This is very sad news, Tony was a nice guy and good fun on a night out. RIP

It happened between the reservoir and the Independence Hotel where the monkeys hand out. That's a sharp corner and often wet. I go around it a lot as I belong to the gym at the I H. RIP Tony, you'll be missed.

Very sad news.
Tony was a great guy, he was a natural as a publican, my god could he drink.
A bit about Tony:
I first met Tony not long after he arrived in SHV to live at a party at the Den in late 2007 I think.
He pretty much started poker in SHV, playing at the old Airplane at Victory Beach.
He was never very much into riding motos, usually preferred to take tuk tuks, but started riding a moto a lot more over the past year.
His mother and sister came out from England to visit him last year, the first time they had seen him in ages which is good.
Tony was on his way to Perth when he stopped over in Bangkok and went down to Pattaya, he never made his flight to Perth, seduced by the Asian lifestyle. He lived there for a few years working online until moving to SHV, he loved the place and his life there.
He was a big help to many newbies in Cambo/Sihanoukville and loved a pub crawl. He was the organizer of the SHV Chili and Rib cook offs.
Charlie Harpers was his idea (he had backers) and it found it's niche as a primarily expat bar in Downtown SHV. Many good times were had there by many people, he was very generous with shots and buying beers etc.
Lately he had (as mentioned) started bicycle riding and had lost about 25kgs. He did the 100km bike ride around the top of Bokor only a week or so ago.
He is one person who will be missed by many, with lots of friends, he will be especially missed by his partner Sun Eng.
RIP Tony mate.

Terrible news about Tony, a big loss to the Sihanoukville/Cambodia Ex-Pat community.
We're planning to have a few drinks in his honour in the Walkabout on Friday, starting from about 7.
I know the Walkabout was one of his favourite watering holes when in Phnom Penh.
A chance for a few of his mates can share a few beers and stories.
RIP Mate

Nothing but an opinionated tourist. The Pope spends more time in countries than I do ! It is also not my place to comment on a gentleman's dress. A real 23 minute wonder, that obviously knows little about ovens and cooking in Cambodia.
