The whole nation has seen the photos on Facebook and TV clearly showing the victim strapped into the passenger seat while this bastard lies through his teeth about her being the driver. I don't know why some Cambodians are such shit liars but I hope this father and son combo do get taken to the fucking cleaners.
I came, I argued, I'm out
I'm not convinced that he said that the girl was driving the car (the articles are contradictory).andyinasia wrote:The whole nation has seen the photos on Facebook and TV clearly showing the victim strapped into the passenger seat while this bastard lies through his teeth about her being the driver. What I remember from different articles is that he states that his son went sleep at home and she borrowed the keys of the car to go visit her aunt at KM6; it was at night when they (father and son) were told that the car caught fire.
(All this according to the newspapers and apart from my own opinion)
The car owner is filing a complaint against her post-mortem for taking the car to visit her aunt, get drunk and somehow someone (either her or someone she picked up) caused the accident.
I don't buy the alibi that his poor son was stuck in bed, sick and he brought him to a private clinic at 8pm. Not buying it at all.
Poor girl. Not only her life was stolen away by a moron but she's being blamed for what happened to her. Fucking shameful.

My faith in humanity is ebbing.
Romantic Cambodia is dead and gone. It's with McKinley in the grave.
I'm looking for confirmation in the press but it looks like the female victim was cremated this morning without the presence of her mother/any relatives.
What a tragic story.
May her soul rest in peace!

May I hope that bottom mentioned article is correct and that her mother was able to attend the cremation ceremony.

So which car chased the other car and caused the incident? The white car in which the girl died was chased by the black one? In the west road safety advocates say that confronting people with victims in hospitals or wherever will make people think before driving stupidly.
Cambodia disproves that theory, these people continue to drive like morons even when confronted daily with awful road accident photos.

The lawyer representing the owner of the car (in which San Enna died) held a press conference this morning:
He sued 3 people:
1. Sean Thearith (ស៊ាន ធារិទ្ធ) who is the driver of the other vehicle.
2. Sokh Paang (សុខ ប៉ាង), 44YO, who is the owner of a place that organizes parties/ceremonies.
3. Chaay Setphary (ឆាយ សិទ្ធផារី), female, 40YO for hiding information and hiding Sean Thearith.

The case of the car which collided and caught fire isn't over yet.
Mr. Pouth Theavy (ពុធ ធាវី), the defense lawyer for the family of Mr. Chon Rasmey (ចន រស្ម៊ី), 19YO and the boyfriend of Ms. San Enna, 21YO, filed a complaint to the Phnom Penh Municipal Court on November 20 2015 suing in total 3 persons accusing them of hiding information from the suspect(s) and killers in this case.
According to the lawyer: the incident was not a result of a traffic accident because a car chased the car driven by Ms. San Enna. This is already the second complaint that the owner of the Camry, in which Ms. San Enna died, made.
The lawyer said that there was already a complaint made on November 16 but not processed by the court yet.
He told this during a press conference on November 20 2015.
The incident is not a traffic accident but a murder because the car of the person who is responsible for the incident, Mr. Sean Thearith (ស៊ាន ធារិទ្ធ), 29YO, chased the car of Ms. San Enna, who is the girlfriend of Mr. Chon Rasmey.
In the press conference, 4 witnesses, among them Mr. Chon Rasmey, and Mr. Chon Ratanea (ចន រតនា) (the 44YO father of Mr. Chon Rasmey) confirmed this.
All the witnesses stated that Mr. Chon Rasmey was not in the car together with Ms. San Enna.
In his complaint the lawyer sued 3 persons:
1. Mr. Sean Thearith (ស៊ាន ធារិទ្ធ), male, 29YO who is working as a staff member in the company Mekong trade.
2. Mr. Sokh Paang (សុខ ប៉ាង), male, 45YO.
3. Mrs. Chaay Tityphary (ឆាយ ទិត្យធាវី), female, 40YO and the wife of Mr. Sokh Paang.
Both are the owners of the place that organized a party and was visited by Ms. San Enna before the incident.
During the press conference the lawyer said that the above mentioned couple (Mr. Sokh Paang and Mrs. Chaay Tityphary) tried to hide information about the suspect Mr. Sean Thearith who committed the murder in the night of November 7 to November 8 2015.
The lawyer confirmed that his client was not in the car during the incident. He claimed that Ms. San Enna left the house of Mr. Chon Rasmey with the car in the morning of November 7 2015.
Mr. Chon Rasmey said that he has known Ms. San Enna for 2 years. At the moment of the incident he didn't stay with her because she was driving the car alone. She left his house in the morning of November 7 2015. Before the incident he called her many times he already missed her long time and she didn't return home. He claimed that he doesn't know who was driving the car with her and only knew that she joined a party at the house of Mr. Sokh Paang in Russey Keo.
A female witness identified as Kaay Konitaa (កាយ កន្និកា) said that before the incident she has seen Mr. Chon Rasmey at home and that he didn't joined Ms. San Enna. At that time Mr. Chon Rasmey he missed/lost her already long time and called her fearing that something happened to her. Around midnight, after his last call, they went together to the house of Mr. Sokh Paang where Ms. San Enna was but they didn't see her. They met the owners of the house but they didn't say where Ms. San Enna was. (ពួកគេមិននិយាយថាអេនណានៅឯណាទេ?)
The lawyer said that there are many witnesses who say that Ms. San Enna left alone with the car (in the morning) and that she went to the house of Mr. Sokh Paang and his wife Mrs. Chaay Tityphary.
The lawyer said that only this couple knows who was in the car with the victim before they left their house.
