Since when are helmets not mandatory? In Phnom Penh, capital of Cambodia, last weekend the 30-year-old Davy Verswyvel Geel accident. He came with his motorcycle in collision with a car.
His father Patrick Verswyvel arrived last night in Cambodia. "He is obviously blankly shocked," said a family friend. "He wants first and foremost to find out more about what exactly happened to his son and he wants to try to arrange the repatriation."
The local press was the accident with many little pictures revealing message. It is certain that Davy Saturday a trip made with his Yamaha imported from Belgium and that it has come to a collision with a cart loaded with coal. "The traffic there is absolute chaos. A helmet is not mandatory. "

The Law on Land Traffic, adopted by the National Assembly in December 2006, stipulates:
The 'new' Law on Land Traffic, adopted by the National Assembly in December 2014, stipulates that now also passengers of those mentioned vehicles (including children) have to wear a helmet.Article 9
4. The drivers who drive motorcycles, tricycles and the motorcycles with trailers/Remorque must wear
safety helmets.
In short, the father, who told the newspapers that wearing a helmet isn't mandatory in the Kingdom, is wrong.

It's a really bad idea to climb on a machine like that without protecting gear, regardless of what the law says...

Agreed but at least here in Temple Town they only started enforcing riders wearing a helmet last year or maybe two years ago.Elekid wrote:It's not.Hanno wrote:Yes, it was.epidemiks wrote:Its been reported in his home country.
