Did anyone else notice the one paragraph article in today's PPP that states the Rolling Stones will be giving a free concert at Olympic Stadium this month, as part of their first SE Asian tour? It says the date will be announced a week before the concert and that the expenses will be met by local NGOs and aid organisations. It also quotes a statement from the Stones about how happy they are to be performing here.
I hope it's true, but it all seems a bit fishy, given today's date, the small size of the article and the lack of news in the other English language papers.
Is it time to get ready to rock or merely a case of a drunken journo or editor having a bit of April Fool's Day fun?
Stones in Phnom Penh or an April Fool's Day joke.

Clearly a very week April Fools Joke and, given the concert in Havana last week, a spectularly unimaginative one. 2/10
If they played here, they would like drain the entire national grid of power and the rest of the city would be plunged in darkness.

Actually, the concert WAS going to happen, but Keith Richards cancelled it when his personal supply of cocaine for the night was found at PP airport.
“The whole secret lies in confusing the enemy, so that he cannot fathom our real intent.”
I read the article a second time after making the OP. There is a small byline underneath that says april fool, so my suspicions were correct.
Jagger has certainly visited here before, though probably incognito. The title track of his third solo album, "Wandering Spirit" includes the line,
Ive been to Angkor and Ive been to Battambang.
