Does very much look like the same guy based on the two photos but it's obviously difficult to be 100% certain because of the difference in image quality.Spigzy wrote: ↑Fri Nov 15, 2019 10:02 amBit of Google cache searching on the original reports yields this passport pic - coupled with the question on age/date of birth, etc if you know, could confirm it is the same person, or hopefully for you confirm it is not.
Don't search the graphic death pics, they don't show the face of the deceased - checked that for you already.

Thanks for the passport image but it is too blurry when I zoom in to see if that is Alberto. The age seems about right - 56. I can't seem to find any other info. How do you do a Google cache search?Spigzy wrote: ↑Fri Nov 15, 2019 10:02 amBit of Google cache searching on the original reports yields this passport pic - coupled with the question on age/date of birth, etc if you know, could confirm it is the same person, or hopefully for you confirm it is not.

It’s nearly a year since you last posted. Are you actually that bothered?Sinbio wrote: ↑Sun Sep 20, 2020 1:31 pmThanks for the passport image but it is too blurry when I zoom in to see if that is Alberto. The age seems about right - 56. Due to the discussion here about possible "foul play," I sent a FOIA request to the State Department for records about the death of Alberto Isoni. Five years later, they responded.
I'm including some of the documents they sent me.
There was discussion on Facebook I believe that he left a suicide note. He did leave two almost identical notes. The autopsy report refers to these notes as "wills," you can judge for yourself.
The autopsy report released by the state department contains redactions, apparently on the basis of "privacy," which makes no sense since the deceased don't have privacy rights. I may appeal that if I decide it's worthwhile to do so.
His passport was not found on him and the personal effects that were found in his possession and inventoried were very minimal as you can see.
I would also point out that the family was pestering the Embassy for information as whether this was a murder because apparently they read speculation to that effect on an "online message board."

Am I correct that the final line of the note is "Thank you for your cooperation, understanding, and not complaining"?

Yes. Perhaps to the property owner - thinking they would be the ones to act on ensuring he would be cremated? The complaining part …. Well, no idea.

That sign off reads like a letter of resignation I’ve received from a staff member.

Am I understanding this correctly, the suicide note appears to be written by a Khmer? I notice words such as 'remainings' which should be 'remains'. And that last line does sound pretty Asian.
It would be good to get to the bottom of all these suicides by hanging from an extremely cheap plastic door knob loosely attached to an extremely cheap plastic door. I only mention it because I have pulled those complete door handles off when just opening and closing the door. It's hard to imagine someone could top themselves by hanging off one.

4 t-shirts and 5 tank tops.
Isn't there an old Japanese proverb?
When the character of a man is not clear, look at his wifebeater to t-shirt ratio.
No, it was written by an Italian who also had US citizenship.JollyBee wrote: ↑Tue Jun 07, 2022 10:41 amAm I understanding this correctly, the suicide note appears to be written by a Khmer?
A Khmer would not have written "Thank you."
A Khmer would have written "Thanks you" or just "Thank."
