Sure, Mekong's one of the primary means of barang transport to Saigon.boomer wrote:http://goo.gl/F2hQKl
^ From the pics in this article, there were quite a few barang passengers

Don't blame me I voted for Sanders
Yes, there drivers are usually pretty good. Although when we took them to SGN last year, the driver had broken about 8 out of 10 of their own safety rules - posted on the back of the seats - before we'd even got out of Phnom Penh. Including talking on his phone, but than goes without saying.

According to the Daily, 29 of the 37 passengers were foreigners.
They also report that the driver fled the scene as per usual. I'm increasingly convinced bus companies instruct their drivers to run away after crashes. Quite literally every case has the same outcome.
But wait. Mekong Express deny he ran away in a wonderfully farcical explanation. He didn't run away. He returned to Phnom Penh for medical help. From ummmm Svay Rieng.

Saingtha Havisey, an assistant to the president of Mekong Express, said the driver had not run away, but rather sought medical care in Phnom Penh, and that the company dispatched a representative to speak to police in Svay Rieng.
“This morning, me and my staff were surprised about this accident, because our buses have never rolled over like that, and those buses were bought from Japan and are of high quality,” Ms. Havisey said.
“I don’t want to believe it,” she added. “I don’t want to believe that our driver got sleepy, because this driver would not drink beer or go out at night and get sleepy like this. He is a person who loves his health.”

I prefer Giant Ibis passed this accident on my return to PP Obvious reason for crash driver fell asleep (straight road no skid marks no other vehicle involved)

Just FYI: To contradict the report of a Hyundai bus, that manufacturer badge is Hino. Carry on.
