I am not at the funeral, but looking at the photos on twitter it appears somewhere north of 960,000 short of a million. Really not sure though. Juding from the thin looking crowd. Don't know the length of it.

Once again, those reporting on it sure do like the word 'mass.' Just saw "mass crowd" which sounds a bit redundant to me.

The same thought occurred to me. The turnout looks very light to me, and much smaller than I anticipated.

Kem Sokha would appear to be facebooking from the bat cave. Hun Sen is tweeting flood reports. @kemleyofficial has his own twitter account and would appear to be tweeting photos from a vehicle close to the hearse, and 'mass' has now been said a mass number of times. Sympathetic observers have revised their on the spot crowd estimate down fro 1M to 100k. And a certain fashion adviser reports that the Cambodians are very happy to have foreigners like her at the funeral.

It's claimed to be 5km long, though I would imagine that they are included any traffic snarlled up behind it. The million claim was never going to be realised but it does seem that even 100,000 was optimistic. Perhaps we'll get a clear picture when it reaches Takeo.

I thought he was referring to the twitter/tweeter referred to yesterday who advised non Cambodian people wear black pants with a white top out of respect, rather than advising they stay away entirely
