He was past 50, isn't there a law that makes it impossible to marry a local past that age?

Its like the 1950's sometimes here. Public shaming regarding personal relations in a news article. Good grief.
Wondering what kind of medication they were providing him with at the clinic.

Thankfully that's the case for now but a lot of blokes get married by the local village headman/monks etc which apparently satisfies the brides family.....not married in the eyes of the LAW thoughpablomiguelgarcia wrote:He was past 50, isn't there a law that makes it impossible to marry a local past that age?

If he is not written into the family book they are not legally married. They can't even do that in the boonies no more.
I am personally against the institution of marriage, most are unable to keep their promises anyway long term,
and the whole 'ownership' thang creates tension in the home.
And how about if you are 50 and find someone at 38 you like?, why all the trouble? Could they have worded it differently, such as age difference can't be more than 20-30 years etc. Besides writing all these laws will not change the reality of the fact that financial wealth plays a huge part in so many relationships, especially between foreigners and females living in poorer nations.
It is troubling to think that any children derived from such relations have to bear a shameful title of coming from an 'illegitimate' marriage, and hence with a tainted family book will get in trouble for being a lesser individual when looking for jobs or a higher education later on in life.

A lot of people over 50 got married here before that law as passed. It wasn't retroactive.Baconroll wrote:Thankfully that's the case for now but a lot of blokes get married by the local village headman/monks etc which apparently satisfies the brides family.....not married in the eyes of the LAW thoughpablomiguelgarcia wrote:He was past 50, isn't there a law that makes it impossible to marry a local past that age?
ירי ילדים והפצצת אזרחים דורש אומץ, כמו גם הטרדה מינית של עובדי ההוראה.
