Kampotters wash clothes? I thought you were all nude, stinky, drugged out backpackers, who only bathe in the river-of-death. Who woulda thunk?!
Enjoy the weather while it lasts!

there are many misconceptions regarding Kampot and the Good People within.
i would recommend as a "primer", to thumb through a copy of The Kampot Survival Guide.
it is a well researched quarterly that has been providing folks with priceless information for nearly 35 years.
that should help to dispel many of the unfounded rumors that shrouds our fair little Hamlet.

Just joking! I would much rather spend a month in Kampot than an evening on st. 172.
OP reminds me of pucketrichard - randomly creating threads telling us all how amazeballs Thailand is, or interjecting in a thread and going off-topic how amazing Thailand is!
Well, anyone who has their location in their username is bound to be manic about their home. That includes you damascusdave and beirutbarry.
Kampot is the next Otres, after Ream of course.

The Kampot survival guide has been around since 1982? Was it printed in Russian or something?Kampot Homesteader wrote:there are many misconceptions regarding Kampot and the Good People within.

It's changing by the day down there, even room for yuppie scum like myself at the old fish market, which is now a restaurant sporting decent live saxophone music for the regions average, stayed at a brand new hotel by the Riverside with good views, the aging barang alcoholics sitting around were acting decent as well, I prefer it as a quick getaway, but would probably not want to live there. Oh and that lady working at the minibus shuttle station was gorgeous, btw.

I just want to make something clear: although Gavinmac and others have started making fun of Miguelito at every opportunity, I'm the one who originally referred to him (and logos) as the K440 resident baller and poked fun about it. I get full credit for coining the term and starting the craze that's been plaguing him for the past while.
Kampot expats personified: pierced, tattooed, drugged up and under arrest.
No more words needed really.

I'd tap her,
Just as long as I was using PB's slong and a Detol bath as an after wash.

I refuse to go out with nothing more than a whimper followed by a small farting sound and a shit stain on my bed sheets..
Just thought I'd share that with you.
