No doubt the provenance of every cent could be tracked to legitimate risk-taking business deals etc that created genuine value to society.DF wrote:Sure is. Why don't people ever learn to watch their money? Spose when you have that much it can become a little time consuming counting it all the time though.gavinmac wrote:Shit, that's a lot of money.

Patently not. Hope he enjoys a regular rear-end reaming with the rough end of a pineapple.ផោមក្លិនស្អុយ wrote:Was 30 mill not enough for him?

Yes, it is a very large sum of money.ផោមក្លិនស្អុយ wrote:This is an extraordinary amount of money. The Khmer news report I read seemed to suggest that the money came from this lady, the wife of Kao Kim Hourn.
Which makes me wonder how much money do these folks actually have - if they are able to invest 27million in one project?
It's staggering.

Of course electron. How else could normal people become so wealthy in the course of 10 to 20 years?electron wrote:No doubt the provenance of every cent could be tracked to legitimate risk-taking business deals etc that created genuine value to society.DF wrote:Sure is. I know there is fantastic wealth here.Miguelito wrote:Yes, it is a very large sum of money.ផោមក្លិនស្អុយ wrote:This is an extraordinary amount of money. The Khmer news report I read seemed to suggest that the money came from this lady, the wife of Kao Kim Hourn.

But I'm surprised that you are surprised. "These folks" buy cars worth hundreds of thousands in cash, wear $100k watches and $30k handbags (not to mention the diamonds), and live in multi million dollar villas (of which they own several). And that's just the outward material wealth that they show - they then invest in apartment/condo projects, or any other random but profitable business venture. Remember the report last year about HE's family's ventures? That gives a good first glance at things.
