There have been deaths, and suspected deaths, in Cambodia attributed to puffer fish.pedros wrote:DF wrote:Yes, they are consumed regularly, and are found in lakes, rivers and ponds in Cambodia. The fish is fine to eat, but its the intestine and other innards that are toxic, and can kill if consumed.Lucky Lucan wrote:I've only heard of people unintentionally dying because they didn't realize they were toxic. Do people eat them regularly?DF wrote: Puffer fish, for example, which are consumed in Cambodia.
The local kids catch puffer fish all the time and torture to death as something to do. Never heard of any being eaten though.

OK so according to Khmer440 experts it was either puffer fish or air conditioning or other food poisoning or stomach pills or booze or heroin or valium or suicide or insects or insecticide or tramadol or hydrogen sulfide.

What, Facebook friends or real friends you can see?
Anyhoo. We, and the families, will probably never actually find out which sucks for them, particularly the mums.

No vomit, no diarrhea, no signs of convulsions, just laying normally on their beds as if they just stopped breathing in their sleep.
The pictures of them are not in their beds, I presume. The colour behind the girls, and the colour of the sheets of the bed are different.
It says* they were taken to hospital, so I guess it's the hospital beds or the morgue trolleys.
We don't know what position they were found in.
*I thought in the BBC article it said they were found in bed by a staff member then taken to hospital, but were already dead.

I used my remarkable search skills poring over obscure websites day and night. Very obscure websites.DF wrote:Incredible. How the heck did you find it?
I note that they used six photos of Natalie Seymour, one photo of her friend, and one photo of both of them.
