I can understand why all the UK papers would focus a bit more on Englishwoman Natalie Seymour dying than on her Canadian friend Abbey Gail Amisola.
But check out this New York Post article. It's titled "Backpacker dies after taking diarrhea pills from Cambodian pharmacist." Why doesn't the headline say "Backpackers die" ?

Then there's a sultry photo of Natalie. Abbey isn't even named until paragraph 4 of the article. Then another photo of Natalie in a sexy top and also showing a lot of leg.

I've looked through her Instagram. There are not many photos on there, probably about 20ish in total. There's one with a weird Halloween "costume", and an inevitable bikini shot from Rabbit Island I think.gavinmac wrote:I can understand why all the UK papers would focus a bit more on Englishwoman Natalie Seymour dying than on her Canadian friend Abbey Gail Amisola.

All in all, for the sake of her family now, I'm glad that her instagram shows a sensible woman, with nothing scandalous that can be taken out of context. Certainly a warning for having a public page so easily accessible. I have many sensible friends of my own that have lots of embarrassing photos of themselves openly available on instagram.

It says backpacker dies because it i pacts more..... youngsters (you probably need to do some research to understand the concept) backpack....it is a right of passage nowadays before going to univeristy, while at university, and between university and career....so it touches the emotions of all those under 28....’it could be me’ and all their parents ‘it could be our little Jenny’. ...it is emotive and sells....you probably have to look up emotive toogavinmac wrote:I can understand why all the UK papers would focus a bit more on Englishwoman Natalie Seymour dying than on her Canadian friend Abbey Gail Amisola.

I note that they used six photos of Natalie Seymour, one photo of her friend, and one photo of both of them.

The point he was trying to make, I believe, is that they wrote "backpacker" singular, when there were two "backpackers".violet wrote:It says backpacker dies because it i pacts more..... youngsters (you probably need to do some research to understand the concept) backpack....it is a right of passage nowadays before going to univeristy, while at university, and between university and career....so it touches the emotions of all those under 28....’it could be me’ and all their parents ‘it could be our little Jenny’. ...it is emotive and sells....you probably have to look up emotive toogavinmac wrote:I can understand why all the UK papers would focus a bit more on Englishwoman Natalie Seymour dying than on her Canadian friend Abbey Gail Amisola.

Oops my bad
As for my rabbit hole, the information is there for those who care to see. It does require a non conformative viewpoint

FYI- you can smoke it...
How? The heroin here is #4, white powder, Heroin hydrochloride, not base heroin (browns). Maybe there are some tricks to make it smokable, but that's certainly not what it's been designed for and you certainly wouldn't be able to run it on foil in the way a UK user would most likely be familiar with.
Thankfully I haven't seen anyone take heroin in the best part of 20 years, maybe they've learned some new tricks since then, but I doubt it.
Yeah but #4 is smokeable too.. but not like #3.. #4 you can for example moist a cigarett and roll it in #4...
Im out of that game btw.

Never mind.
My first impression was that these girls were dope users, and this end was not very suprising. Now it turns out they are just nice traveling girls.
What I would like to know now: Were that bad pills or did they just take too many? There must be a lesson learned: Is it: don't trust pills from pharmacy in Cambodia or is it .... don't take too many pills? And that rule is valid all over the world. But can 2 world wise girls be so stupid to take a lethal dose of pills?

I still reckon the problem arose before the pills, as confirmed in the message sent to the mother. That is that they had stomach problems and were going to the chemist.
They consumed something toxic. Most of the pills were scattered on the floor ie not consumed.
An autopsy will be the only way to find out for sure.
Drugs is bottom of my list.
