there is an excellent fire prevention shop at the corner of 113/360 (by the sign for Tuol Sleng) well worth visiting. I think there is also another not far away by the fire station on 360 for comparison.Miguelito wrote:This discussion made me think about my own home, and lack of fire extinguishers. Where would you buy some, Home Top maybe?
In my apartment building I was surprised to see regularly serviced fire extinguishers on every floor.
Get at least one dry-powder extinguisher for electrical fires
I think there's a place near Orussei Market selling them

Fire department comes round our place every 18 months to ‘check’ our extinguishers.
Remarkably they usually find one or two which needs replaced. Rather conveniently they have replacements with them which they ever so kindly will sell to us.

Well unfortunately NYC beat Phnom Penh to it. If they lose 12, imagine what we would lose...Conan the Mongol wrote:We just need one fire (hopefully, no casualties) like the London tower fire, and retro-fitted sprinkler systems are in!
Fire brigade needs to invest in giant, inflatable jump cushions, haha!
Maybe China will donate them and put a huge Chinese flag on them.
I think they're all made there anyways!

'Worst NYC fire' in 25 years kills at least 12, injures 4 people
It's probably cheaper here to buy a new one than recharge old ones. Dry powder extinguishers will either slowly lose their charge or the powder will pack. They should be replaced at least every six years or at the very least emptied, refilled and recharged.ផោមក្លិនស្អុយ wrote:Fire department comes round our place every 18 months to ‘check’ our extinguishers.
