Phnom Penh: A car burst into flames, causing the shock to the people before authorities intervened at 3am in the morning. This happened on Street 608 In Boeung Kok II commune, Toul Kork district.
Source of the incident said that before the incident, a vehicle, a black RANGE ROVER, with the number plate, Phnom Penh 2AC-2223 driven by Mr Sok Chan, a 30-year-old man living in Bory New World, Sangkat Kraing Thnong, Khan Sen Sok, traveled from east to west. The car then hit a tree causing a flame to to start a fire in the engine which quickly spread. The car owner opened the door to escape.
The fire incident did not cause any immediate injuries, people near the scene took a hose and sprayed it with water. Police and fire fighters from Phnom Penh arrived to help fire extinguish. It took four cars up to half an hour to finish off the job. The car was wrecked beyond repair.
After the accident, experts were brought from Phnom Penh Road Traffic Police, and are waiting to settle the issue. Later.
