The gunman, Keo Sophal, a 40-year-old police special intervention officer of the National Police stayed at the address. He was legally licensed to own the firearm.
After reports of shots being fired, police arrived and seized a K54 gun with four bullets. More empty casings were removed.
According to the criminal police chief of Por Senchey, the man was in the rent room alone, suffering a "FANTASY". He apparently believed a group of people were chasing him to perform an abortion on his unborn baby in his man-womb, so pulled a gun and fired off 10 rounds. This was enough as he spared 4 bullets.
