Long face boutique hotel resident takes bite of tourist
Your boyfriend is a gar botherer.
If he enjoys it he should have dinner on the roof of the fabulously kitsch Luxury World Hotel.
They have a tank of them and kids being kids, it's great to watch the near dismemberments.

I thought Gars were restricted to North America? And it certainly is not a Crocodile Fish.Alexandra wrote: ↑Sun Jan 26, 2020 12:56 pmThe op (not me or a boyfriend) said it’s an alligator gar, not an alligator or crocodile.
Alligator gars are easily identifiable because they are fish with no legs. Also known as alligator fish. Apparently they swim in the Mekong and the authorities want them dead because they are so dangerous.
Don’t hold it against me if he’s wrong but look at this goddamn fish from hell.
“Crocodile fish found in Battambang province, Cambodia
March 10, 2012
The Southeast Asia Weekly
Cambodian fisherman in Battambang province caught a crocodile fish in a canal but the official of fishery administration department banned its release into the river, citing that it could eat other small fish and put people in danger. Crocodile fish is a rare fish species and it is found in Mekong River. The fish is shaped like crocodile. (Norkor Wat daily)”

From what I can make out when translated through ear-trumpet and goggles - a Cambodian land pirate is in possession of two new pairs of crocodile shoes.

Bringing the news. You stay classy, nas, Cambodia.
I received $80 for getting my skull crushed, but I was collecting from the crackhead that drove into me as opposed to a hotel. That $80 was straight profit, insurance covered the full $100k medical costs

The Thylacine was almost completely wiped out before Captain Cook ever graced the shores of Van Diemen's Land.
Romantic Cambodia is dead and gone. It's with McKinley in the grave.
Ahh, the old penal colony! (Just in time for Australia Day, which isn’t “A celebration when we got rid of you poms” or “When we fukin landed at Botany Bay” (it was Sydney Cove))

Seems like a legit accident completely out of the control of the hotel surely? I know in the USA you'd probably get a cool million just for the emotional trauma, let alone the physical wound (See Boozer vs Disney; https://www.latimes.com/archives/la-xpm ... story.html) - but for me it's a simple "drop it" & put it down to experience not to try to pet fish with teeth, life's too short.

The tassie tiger became extinct from the mainland about 3,000 years ago but survived in Tasmania before the last one died at Hobart zoo in 30's. The tigers in tassie were essentially wiped out following widespread hunting after the arrival of British settlers who introduced bounties to eradicate the species.
