If you complain about your electricity bill EDC will come to your house and force you to stop
On April 27 a Facebook user in Sihanoukville named Sam Ths posted their electricity bill from
Electricity du Cambodge (EDC) and complained about the high cost. In March they received a bill for 852,600 Riel ($210.55 USD) and in April they received a bill for 979,700 Riel ($241.94 USD). Confused by the unexpected surge they took to Facebook wondering if there was foul play involved.
EDC took the complaint very seriously and sent their team of technicians to investigate. The team brought serious equipment and some calculators to investigate why the bill was so high. The team found that the consumption was correct and educated them that they have to decrease consumption if they wanted cheaper bills.
The EDC then wrote a post of its own urging people who have questions to contact them on Facebook or to call the phone number written on every electricity bill.

Bringing the news. You stay classy, nas, Cambodia.
Can EDC determine where you're posting from? Do they have ISP?
There is probably not too many in Sihanoukville that received bills for exactly 852,600 Riel and 979,700 Riel. EDC can easily track complainers when they post pictures of their bills.mr. charlie wrote: ↑Sun May 03, 2020 5:20 amCan EDC determine where you're posting from? Do they have ISP?
Apparently tracking down complainers and educating them is a thing now.
