I haven't heard anything from our school, nor have I seen anything on the Interwebs.
That's one of the reasons why I am sceptical. Not doubting your word, BB, just recounting what I have seen & heard.

Slavedog. Not every int. School closes for 2 months.
Where you get that from?

Of course it was quick. I’m constantly monitoring you springrain. You are a threat to me and my Illuminati chums. We have cameras in your home, trackers on all your devices and a chip in your neck.springrain wrote: ↑Tue May 26, 2020 6:32 pmI don't think it's true. The email might have been sent, but I don't believe it. I've just said that.
That was a very quick response, scobienz.

Ha ha! Thanks for your reply, mate!
Take care.
We have argued much. And I hope that the days of discussion don't fade.

Fair enough, I was just relating what I was recently told by the head master at my kids school, that the top ten schools all follow roughly the same pattern. I certainly haven't bothered checking this.Jackal wrote: ↑Tue May 26, 2020 4:37 pmWell, my kids international school has that 2 month break over December and January.slavedog wrote: ↑Tue May 26, 2020 4:12 pmAll of the international schools have a break of about two months in the summer. The main benefit of my brilliant idea would be more time spent in the classroom instead of the online classes that they are all doing now.Jackal wrote: ↑Tue May 26, 2020 3:14 pmslavedog wrote: ↑Tue May 26, 2020 2:41 pmThey should just end the school year now, have the holidays early (not as if anyone is going anywhere so won't be any disruption to travel plans) and then start the new 2020-2021 school year early.
Although logical, I can see that it would be complicated from an accountancy point of view, so probably won't happen.
My kids have their school year in line with the calendar year. They got less than one term in before covid panic fucked it.
Not sure I'll send them back now though. I'm doing a better job than the poxy school was.
