US asks Cambodia to arrest Koh Rong murderer
American ambassador W. Patrick Murphy yesterday met with Cambodian Minister of Interior. During the meeting, Murphy requested help from Cambodia to hunt down and bring to justice the man who is suspected of brutally murdering an American woman on Koh Rong in 2013.
The suspect named as Yeoun Yann is believed to have fled to Thailand. He is suspected of murdering an American massage therapist, 55 year old Katherine "K.G." Ann Grgich, who was found dead while vacationing on the island of Koh Rong. The lone suspect in her death is Yeoun Yann, 39, a saw worker who lived on the island. It is believed that the woman was killed and robbed for her possessions.
Sar Kheng said that the suspect had fled to Thailand but that Cambodia will continue to do its utmost to arrest the suspect and bring him to justice.
During the meeting, the two also exchanged views on strengthening cooperation with law enforcement and public health.
Sar Kheng pointed out that the Cambodian national police and the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) maintain a close relationship. The police of the two countries have cooperated to bring American criminals to face justice.
Sar Kheng said that since Murphy was appointed as ambassador, the relationship between Cambodia and the US has improved. "Cambodia and the United States have cleared up some misunderstandings and hope that bilateral friendly relations continue in the future", he said.
Murphy promised that the American government will continue to support and assist the continued development of Cambodia's public health sector.
Bringing the news. You stay classy, nas, Cambodia.
Do the American government has supporting and assisting the continued development of Cambodia's public health sector?I didn't see.

The FBI is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of Yeoun Yann.
In May I emailed the U.S. Embassy in Cambodia and asked why the suspect was not on Interpol’s most wanted list despite 2015 news articles saying that he was wanted by them. The U.S. Embassy did not respond.
The suspected murderer is still not on Interpol’s wanted list. He is believed to be hiding in Thailand.

That's a great time to ask the Cambodian authorities to arrest a suspect who has fled to Thailand.

Can you clarify this? The dates are weird. Are there two different people or what?

Yeoun Yann is suspected of the murder in the OP. He killed an American woman in Koh Rong in 2013. There is no Interpol warrant for this guy despite media reports saying that Interpol is looking for him, and the U.S. Embassy asking Cambodia for assistance to arrest him. He is believed to be hiding in Thailand.
The post on Facebook by the FBI is about another Cambodian killer, “Bob” Tang, suspected of murdering a man in San Francisco.
When the FBI posted on Facebook about “Bob” the San Francisco murderer I mistook him for Yeoun Yann the Koh Rong murderer. The two cases are not related, I just mixed them up.

Fair enough, if I see either of them I'll make a quick exit stage right.
