Each landlord has their own login and password. So it is possible for several people to use a single. My girlfriend has 2 properties and needs different logins as they are in different songkats.RobW wrote: ↑Wed Jun 10, 2020 7:17 amA question to which I think I know the answer but just to be sure...
Presumably two people can register on the same phone?
I don't think my landlord is capable of doing this so my boy and I thought we'd buy a cheap phone and register both of us on it then chuck it in a cupboard.
Will this work?
Thanks.
Interview with immigration department about FPCS
I agreeFelgerkarb wrote: ↑Tue Jun 02, 2020 11:58 amIf this app is only supposed to be for landlords and not foreigners, why is it so top heavy in size with multiple languages? Since foreigners cannot own land, it follows that landlords would be Khmer, thus you only need the app in Khmer.
The app asks for location down to village level, not street address. So probably not in sync with much else. I look forward to hear how this goes down over the next few months. And if the 'express fee' will gather all this useless. I put the app on my $60 Huawei, which has a bad battery, and runs out of power constantly.

"GDI: We are doing testing with International Security Company to certify the app"
Good luck with that. Https and not storing passwords in plain text would be a good start.
At least I see the last update doesn't allow to change anybody's password from the app itself anymore

Seems my landlady got someone round to help her do it on her device thankfully.

No, it's worse than that one word, authorization...
Make sure you don't use the same password as for other services.
Don't expect your data to be private.
Expect fake information in their database

Hi. My landlord lives in South Korea, and the app doesn't have the South Korean country code, and he can't scan my passport (unless he scans a photo of my passport). Apart from registering myself with my number (and probably getting into trouble), is there any way to get around this? Call immigration and ask them? Try the local sangkat? Thanks much.

I didn't read through all 4 pages so I might be repeating something but just for info for those still unclear about whether you can self-register. I did. I was no problem, only scanning the passport's id lines at the bottom was a little difficult. I didn't fill out the check-in section as I am not a guest but a co-owner of the house with my wife (I am on the hard title - so that makes me only a virtual co-owner).
I got a call from the local immigration telling me I had to fill out the check-in section, never mind that I have been here for 10 years permanently and on/off since 1990 before then. So which date to enter? The date I moved to Kep, my current residence he said. So I scanned my passport again in the check-in section which automatically gave me the actual date. I guess the main thing for them is that you are registered. It seems the border check-points don't always scan passports. I wouldn't know. I never arrived by land. Maybe the cost of repatriating overstayers got too high so they can clamp down on them via this app early on.

I self-registered a couple of days ago as the guys at my hotel desk seemed utterly clueless. I was able to add all the info on the hotel I am staying by myself (village, district, etc, form the google maps info about the place). According to the system I am the only guest staying at the hotel -- despite the fact that the hotel is all full and mostly foreigners. hahaha
My landlord has entered me already but my passport expires in Feb 2021 so I had to get a new passport as my visa is up soon, July 10, and I didn't have enough time on my old passport for my new 12mo ER EOS.
Tomorrow, July 1, I will go to Lucky Lucky Moto to renew my visa. Not sure if because I am registered on FPCS in my old passport if I will be able to get new visa for my new passport.
Since this new policy starts on July 1. I guess I will be the guinea pig to find out what happens, stay tuned
