Hi,
Just had this question from 2 friends of mine coming to Thailand for a holiday:
Their return flight is past 30 days after their arrival (I assume their tourist visa will be for 30 days). Do they need to apply for a visa extension or will they need to do a border run? They also wanted to know if having reservations at a Cambodian hotel will help their application for visa extension (they are on the fence about visiting Cambodia).
Apologies if this has been asked and answered before, didn't see anything. I told them since they're tourists I would imagine this shouldn't be as difficult as visa issues that expats have.
Any help appreciated, thanks!

As far as i know they will not be allowed to board their outbound flight without a 3 month visa or flight tickets to another destination once in Thailand.

1. if they are western, there is no 30 day tourist visa, (nor a 3 month tourist visa)
there is/was a 30 day visa exempt stamp
2. NO tourists are allowed in and no announcement when it will happen
3. where have you been for the past 4 months?

I'm not sure how to break it to you, but your friends are pulling your leg.
