Had an acquaintance fall to the same fate at close to the same age in Cambodia. He didn't believe in health insurance and died a few months after suffering the stroke. He left a young Khmer wife and child.
On a side note, outside of being sick do you think the heat has anything to do with all the heart attacks and strokes?

Numbnuts all grown up
I don’t know how many times it has to be said. Too many expats are old farts, many in terrible shape with a predilection to smoking and excessive drinking.
Get some fucking health insurance. If you can’t afford it, go home. Do not rely on the kindness of strangers. Most of us aren’t that kind.

too long a story to go into here. Its a 3 beer story.
suffice it to say that the person also took Adam to court in Cambodia over that and a few other things written about him.
It was very hard for Adam to get up for the 9am hearing, but he did it and won it easily without any payments to the officials.
Note to self: Must be nice to morons.

The heat can make even the smallest tasks seem like big ones. It can often make you lazy, to the point where lazy is the norm.offshoresports wrote: ↑Fri Feb 12, 2021 11:46 pmHad an acquaintance fall to the same fate at close to the same age in Cambodia. Lovers of the bar life are often not too attracted to exercise, and have a poor diet.

Last time we saw each other was at Scoffers wedding in April 2018, to which you bought another mans wife if I remember correctly!
(She is too good for him anyway and you were boxing above your weight there).

Was it 2018? Blimey. Rebo has long been told that he was only ever invited to events because of his now (then) wife. I believe he was out of the city for work that night. I had no idea there was a wedding happening at all. I was in town for a couple of days and bumped into mrs rebo and she dragged me along.LaudJohn wrote: ↑Sat Feb 13, 2021 7:39 pmLast time we saw each other was at Scoffers wedding in April 2018, to which you bought another mans wife if I remember correctly!

Nonsense, some of us manage to exercise, eat and drink in bars on days off. I'm not a great example but I do balance the three.spitthedog wrote: ↑Sat Feb 13, 2021 7:33 pm

Romantic Cambodia is dead and gone. It's with McKinley in the grave.
