Only 12,000 Chinese left in Sihanoukville

- Reactions:
the less of them there the better - a conflict of value systems to the detriment of the majority of locals and western expats - their aggressive, inconsiderate, selfish, greedy, rude, disrespectful, criminal, ungrateful, dangerous, stupid, racist and overall generally disgusting behaviour over the years has not been an ideal fit, at best!
What this "reporter" failed to mentioned, and what was mentioned in original khmer news, is that well over 500 building was finished last year. Already this year couple buildings completed.crazyjohn wrote: ↑Sat Feb 13, 2021 10:26 amAre there really so many Thais and Indians and Pakistanis? And so few Chinese compared to before? Will the buildings ever get finished? If the roads are good and theres a huge choice of rentals and a mall and sewage farm it might be an OK place to live again.
Not sure about exact numbers but if you sit one hour looking the streets, you will notice a lot more Indian/Pakistanis then before.
Also quite a few Thai ladies arrived last year.
Many westeners have started to come back from Kampot and Siem Reap. I know more than I can count with one hand that came back end of last year. Also new westeners have come and work, but still not same number of westeners as before.

Not really Pu Li. Cambodia did not attract the best behaved of the lot. Lets rephrase that "I hope there are a lot of mainlanders behaving better than what we witness in Cambodia". Just check the newspapers over the last years or have them as neighbours for a while.

How about 16 years? Is that long enough?YellowFlu wrote: ↑Tue Jun 08, 2021 7:34 pmNot really Pu Li. Cambodia did not attract the best behaved of the lot. I'm bored of mine already after 3 years..... Some location in Bkk1: multiple times police raids (often after undercover observation, Khmer cops really don't blend in haha), twice including gunfire. One suicide and numerous nighttime disturbances. Upper floors seem to house an illegal casino, a string of many. Every day some Chinese bloke drops by, then heads on to the next one. The building is either owned or leased by some lovely mainlander and players are housed in the hotel across the road. Yes, even during Covid times they still come play.
