Isn't there a pandemic exclusion on many medical insurance policies - even what many would call 'proper medical insurance'v12 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 26, 2021 10:19 amYeah, given the overload of government clinics, it would be more of a "take it or leave it" situation. Provided you do have proper medical insurance, that should not be a real issue.ផោមក្លិនស្អុយ wrote: ↑Mon Apr 26, 2021 9:27 amhttps://m.phnompenhpost.com/national/pr ... 9-patients
This is interesting.
Private hospitals now authorized to treat covid. As I understood (maybe I am wrong) covid treatment is free in government facilities. I'm sure private clinics won't offer the same deal...
I guess there is going to be some people complaining online about big bills being levied upon them after they get dropped off at one of these private clinics.

The Forte insurance, now long expired, I entered with last year covered Covid. That was the point of it. It is available online for travellers, so may be available for purchase inside the country too. If several of the people I actually live with tested positive, I'd probably try to renew that quite pricey policy
My "home" medical insurance does cover these Covid-19 costs, even when abroad. Though that is maybe because I do have an "abroad package" included with the main insurance.ផោមក្លិនស្អុយ wrote: ↑Mon Apr 26, 2021 10:24 amIsn't there a pandemic exclusion on many medical insurance policies - even what many would call 'proper medical insurance'v12 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 26, 2021 10:19 amYeah, given the overload of government clinics, it would be more of a "take it or leave it" situation. Video of 121 citizens with Covid evacuated by ambulances at night. Where do you think they will be taken to?

Haha yeah it would be cruel to test the new ovens with them. Which reminds me, are they fully operational already? Who transports the dead there? Army?

I can't understand making a joke like that. If only there was something funny. But the truth is people are in dire and desperate situations right now. I think unless the spread is contained, the country will be praying for more rain to give a good rice harvest this year. . . My neighbors are making soup from bamboo shoots out back...YellowFlu wrote: ↑Sun May 02, 2021 6:02 pmHaha yeah it would be cruel to test the new ovens with them. BTW, the army presence is growing in Sihanoukville, with some army trucks and many tent camps downtown at the checkpoints.
An Italian pal from Siem Riep has been stuck for two months in a guesthouse because of the travel ban... At his guesthouse he says there are a lot of Vietnamese who want to return to their homes, but they can't leave and can't legally cross the border. Apparently there is some debt bondage going on in the casinos: some bosses who owed unpaid salary to employees were asking for money from these same unpaid victims just to let them go free... Some have run away... Bizarre.

Could be worse folks, we could be in UK.

Jungle drums are beating. Suggesting an increase in numbers today.
Numbers AND geographic spread. (But they are still occasionally quiet on some geographic details.)

I guess you won't have to share an oxygen mask with the guy in the next bed.
