That's because the EU did make a mess of their vaccinations. In the EU, it's also cold, anyway.Guest wrote: ↑Mon Apr 12, 2021 8:34 pmBut the UK is the only one in Europe where COVID rates are dropping dramatically.Guest wrote: ↑Mon Apr 12, 2021 2:50 pmOr because it got warmer and the respiratory diseases are seasonal. Look at last year stats before vaccinations: there were very few cases in summer, because people are outside, getting sunshine and breathing fresh air. Respiratory viruses don’t like that, it’s been known since forever. Somehow people got dumber in 2020.Birdy wrote: ↑Mon Apr 12, 2021 4:25 amVaccination is the only way to stop this. The U.K. fucked up at first but has now gone from a peak of 2,000 deaths a day to 7 deaths on Sunday because 55% of the population are vaccinated and pretty much everyone in a vulnerable group and nearly all over 50’s are vaccinated.
Compare that to the rest of Europe that have vaccinated bugger all in comparison and many of them are in a 3rd wave.In one day last week France recorded 44,000 new cases.
Then we have the problem that we all need another booster jab every year like the flu vaccine to deal with the mutations.
Vaccinations will help, but not as much as hoped for and certainly less if people are locked and restricted as they have been.
France,Italy,Germany etc are getting warmer but their rates have increased since winter.
Also I’m stuck in the UK and it’s bloody freezing 🥶

It hasn’t got warmer in the U.K. It has been snowing in parts of the country this weekend and most parts of the country woke up to sub zero frosts this morning.
Same measures have been implemented for Kandal Province now...
I'm not a negative person, I encourage people all the time...it's usually to f**k off! But, whatever.

Banning alcohol sales in Phnom Penh seems to have the unintended affect of causing a mass exodus today. The Chruoy Changva Bridge heading to NR6 was jammed this morning.
Romantic Cambodia is dead and gone. It's with McKinley in the grave.
imposible becoz their is a ban on travalLucky Lucan wrote: ↑Tue Apr 13, 2021 2:35 amBanning alcohol sales in Phnom Penh seems to have the unintended affect of causing a mass exodus today. The Chruoy Changva Bridge heading to NR6 was jammed this morning.
I think I'd trust LL on that
Banning something depends on enforcement, and the willingness to conform with restrictions
KNY is wrong time to expect either

There is freedom of travel between Phnom Penh and Kandal province.
And there are always ways to get beyond that.

Reality from other countries shows, these limitations could go a lot longer than April 28........
No problem, the Chinese vaccines are rolling in. Oh wait, did the big man forget to mention it is at best 50% efficient?
Other bad news:
One these China brands is already not recognized for crossing the Thai border.
It is also uncertain if you can take a different vaccine brand if you already had the Chinese one.
Deportation / leaving the country might not be so bad if things keep spiraling out of control.

The lockdowns and the shutouts haven't been bothering me...but just today I have noticed that nham24 and foodpanda has restricted all deliveries from outside my immediate area.
So no pizza (only pizza company near near and I'm not eating that crap). No Indian and no burgers.
Only trips to local market now possible so I'm eating strictly Asian for next few weeks.
I thought delivery drivers were allowed though the roadblocks...maybe not.

Or even if nham24 and the blockages are in synch.
The app works off your location anyway so once you open the app it tells you what is available in your area.
Would need to order with restaurant directly. Worth exploring.
