22 cases of Delta variant found in Cambodia
The Ministry of Health said today that 22 cases of the Delta variant of the Coronavirus have been found in Cambodia. All of them are imported cases.
MoH said that the Delta variant had been discovered by the Pasteur Institute, mostly from Thailand. On Tuesday, the Pasteur Institute reported that 12 laborers returning from Thailand had tested positive for the Delta variant.
In order to prevent the spread of the Delta variant and prevent community spread, on Tuesday the Ministry of Health ordered authorities to continue strict border control and enforce the 14 day quarantine entry requirement.
The Delta variant is expected to be 60% more infectious than previous variants. Patients experience worse symptoms in a shorter time and the Delta variant is resistant to drugs and difficult to treat. Patients may take longer to recover. The Ministry of Health has urged people to take the available vaccine as soon as possible to reduce risk.
Monitors in China and Australia have confirmed that the Delta variant is airborne and can infect people in only 5-15 seconds.

Not good and just as I am about to get out of quarantine.
I have had the worst luck possible with this pandemic. Arrive in Spain one week before lockdown during the final year of Britexit, get stuck in Spain, repeated lockdowns, get bicycle stolen, debit cards expired, finally manage to get out of Spain and when I do they send an email inviting me to get jabbed, after a ten day quarantine in the UK I arrive in Cambodia for another quarantine only to hear that the UK is now offering walk in vaccination clinics to anyone while Cambodia or PP is about to stop offering jabs. Been one hell of a tough 16 months mentally, physically and financially!

I know of at least 3 people who are fully vaccinated who are presently in the medical treatment facility on Koh Pich.
They were transported from their home in an ambulance and waited hours to be given a bed, No access to toilets while waiting for hours, and no food available in the hospital.
They finally got admitted at 1am.
The system is under extreme pressure.
Anybody have an update on what happened to the hookers that started this on February 20th? The security guard who let them out is in prison. Where are they?

A little unfair to blame it solely on the hookers - who were the Bongs who flew them in - funny how that trail went cold

Even if you are fully vaccinated it won't stop you catching the virus but should stop you requiring hospital treatment. Are you saying that they passed the two weeks since final jab and still got seriously ill or just got retested because of contact with someone with covid , found positive and then carted away?

Rumors circulating a new lockdown to be announced in PP imminently... sounds like they knew horace was out tomorrow
