Expand in which direction? They can only go north. Goodbye to a school?

What is your definition of Chav?
H&M Isn’t a chav brand. It is fast fashion that is cheap and only intended to last a short time. Not what I understand chav to reference.

Were they booted from China as part of the Xinjiang cotton sanctions?
I’ve always found it strange that H&M stores in Thailand stock the same products as their stores in the West.

Presumably, you haven't seen Thais in their woolly hats and jackets during the 1/2 weeks a year when the temperature occasionally drops below 20c in and around Bangkok.
They probably thought I was deranged to be still walking round in my shorts and t-shirt.

Romantic Cambodia is dead and gone. It's with McKinley in the grave.

I do remember having socks on while in bed in Phnom Penh for a couple of weeks in January one year. I think the locals may have been wearing parkas and thermals during the day.Lucky Lucan wrote: ↑Tue Jul 27, 2021 7:53 amThat's a thing here too.erictheking wrote: ↑Tue Jul 27, 2021 2:25 amPresumably, you haven't seen Thais in their woolly hats and jackets during the 1/2 weeks a year when the temperature occasionally drops below 20c in and around Bangkok.
A chav is “ in parts of England is a British pejorative term used to describe an anti-social lower-class youth dressed in sportswear.” and “council” covers them plus professional “single mums” (with usually more than one kid from different dads) who have lived on handouts all their lives.
If you’ve ever been in one in the UK it’s full of the lazy fat feckless slobs. Utterly horrible shop, especially when a sale is on.

I’ve spent many many years living in England. I am well aware what a chav is. I wanted to know what you thought a chav is, because H&M is not chavvy.YaTingPom wrote: ↑Tue Jul 27, 2021 9:42 amA chav is “ in parts of England is a British pejorative term used to describe an anti-social lower-class youth dressed in sportswear.” and “council” covers them plus professional “single mums” (with usually more than one kid from different dads) who have lived on handouts all their lives.

Lazy fat feckless slobs aren’t chavs either.
If you knew anything about H&M you would know that fat feckers can’t fit their sizes.
Are you sure you are not thinking of Primark?

Nope. I’ve also spent many years in England. H&M is what I said it is.violet wrote: ↑Tue Jul 27, 2021 1:54 pmI’ve spent many many years living in England. I am well aware what a chav is. No self-respecting Chav would wear H & M or Primark. Anything from Sports Direct or JD Sports with the occasional over-branded 'designer' item, yes. Anything else, no.
