Is this true? I haven't heard this anywhere else. Perhaps we should split the topics or add this to one of the old gym bar topics.Guest wrote: ↑Sat Sep 11, 2021 8:55 amAlso heard Randall of the Gym bar ( the first and best sports bar in PP) passed away too.

Shit! I missed his pie shop when he sold it, they were good pies. RIPgavinmac wrote: ↑Sun Sep 12, 2021 12:19 amIs this true? I haven't heard this anywhere else. I asked LaudJohn and he has not heard about this death but he does not have the same sources as before.

I heard that Randall died a few days ago, apparently it was due to complications from pneumonia. He tested negative for COVID. A few people know, my other half told me.

I'll check to confirm however terrible news if true. From the Gym Bar to Pelican Pies through to his micro-greens, Randal has been something of a constant on the small-business scene. That and the stray cat scene.
Port Adelaide will miss him if he has gone.

This is horrible news. He was definitely a unique individual. A very twisted sense of humour that was so dark and "cruel". Loved the PAFC. I guess it's good in a way he never got to see how bad they were last night.
Any idea how old he was? Mid 50s?
RIP

If true, RIP & thanks for letting me watch the cricket, often late at night when I was the only one left in the bar.
RIP, Randall.

Condolences to friends & family if this is true.
Peter of the Gym Bar also passed away back in May. Was a great little bar while it lasted.

I'm not a negative person, I encourage people all the time...it's usually to f**k off! But, whatever.
At this stage he would have had to have been closer to 70
R.I.P
Sad news if true, always enjoyed a drink or three at the Gym Bar and Randall was always good value!
RIP

RIP Randall. A good guy.
I first met him when he bought the K bar.
He sold that to Tony Byrne RIP and opened the Gym bar that he sold to Pete Doyle also RIP.
I remember being at Murray's place at the roof top bar with Randall, whilst watching Port Adelaide play one time. A very passionate supporter. Good thing he did not see them get thrashed the other night.
That makes 6 people I know who have died in the past 2 months including 3 from Cambodia.

Note to self: Must be nice to morons.
As you can imagine...I'm a tad concerned for my own health given our recent catch up.LaudJohn wrote: ↑Sun Sep 12, 2021 9:44 pmRIP Randall. A good guy.
