Sorry if I've overlooked a past thread on this topic, but is there anywhere in PP I can buy a good cigar? Not the giant ones thay produce in latin america, but the smaller ones they smoke in Burma and Indonesia.
Thanks.

There is a cigar shop at the Himawari and a cigar bar at Nagaworld. Otherwise you could probably buy one off a tribesman in the hills.slipshod wrote:Sorry if I've overlooked a past thread on this topic, but is there anywhere in PP I can buy a good cigar? It seems strange to me that you want a 'good cigar'. In Burma, they smoke 'cheroots' , which cannot (IMHO) be classified as cigars at all. They offer an interesting & fulfilling smoking experience, granted. Sometimes they are laced. Have you tried chewing Betel Nut? That's quite interesting, too. You can't compare 'good' cigars from South America with Burmese cheroots though, surely? On one of the river islands near Mandalay, they have an interesting brew from local coconuts - with some alcoholic effect - quite nice.slipshod wrote:Sorry if I've overlooked a past thread on this topic, but is there anywhere in PP I can buy a good cigar? If you're going to smoke a fine cigar you must absolutely consummate the moment with a fine alcoholic beverage. I prefer a nice glass of port. Don't know about those 'South American' cigars, but in my opinion Cuban cigars do indeed live up to the hype. You can buy them at all the 5-star hotels in town. They start at about $10/stick. And if you like Italian food and/or pizza, check out Luna d'autunno Italian Restaurant. Besides the great food, they offer cigar/dessert/beverage packages to end your meal.
