There aren't any " Resorts " on Otres http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Resort and I have it on good authority all the skungy backpackers places along the beach will be hunted very soon . A couple have been
told to clean up the rubbish around their hovels , and have not , some of those warned have just transferred
their rubbish across the road , and all those businesses on the beach side have been told " No accomodation "
Beware of any deals here , I would love to live down there , but there is a lot of outside influence at play to
start developing this area into a more family orientated destination .

This has been the same story for many years there (granted, they actually did clear half the beach off a few years back).






I specifically remember a new guesthouse ACROSS the road being excited because soon "all the accommodation on the beach will have to close shop, and then we will the closest guesthouses to the beach."

That was just over 1 and a half years ago.

There is something close to a resort on otres,the place with the pool down the far end.
Once the road is sealed I can see otres becoming the Khmer resort.
For the average Khmer beach goer that is,once occateul is sold off.
I can't believe the amount of rubbish strewn around the road down the beach,the barangs with businesses there are pigs.
Shut them down,it won't be long.
