Looking to buy a second hand one as I am sick of the lack of book availability here.
So does anybody have one for sale, or can inform me where is a good place to buy one?
Cheers.

Better to buy them new from Rogue. I'm on my 3rd Kindle now (in 3 years) and I find they often expire about a week after the guarantee lapses. I read a lot though so it works out great value anyway.
Is this a shop or a slang term for new?nkellingley wrote:Better to buy them new from Rogue. I'm on my 3rd Kindle now (in 3 years) and I find they often expire about a week after the guarantee lapses. I read a lot though so it works out great value anyway.

I saw a second hand one - touch, eInk - in the market in Sihanoukville yesterday. I bought my own in B2S in Bangkok, but it was really expensive (5000B for an ad- supported Kindle 4.)

Considering the previous posts, one might be better off buying a real tablet like a Nexus 16gb. They're $200 in the States.
It depends on what you want it for. The reading experience on an e Ink Kindle is very different than on a tablet; it's easier to read in bright sunlight, more like paper than a computer screen. Battery life is measured in months rather than hours. On the other hand a tablet will do a hell of a lot of other stuff you can't do on a Kindle. Very different devices.

I have the Kindle touch, love the e-ink display so paper-like and easy to read. Crazy long battery life.
I tend to sleep in the nude. Which isn't a bad thing except for maybe on those long flights.
More like $169 if you are buying in Thailand, the mark up is extortionate. I'm guessing it is probably a bit cheaper in Cambodia.Phuket2006 wrote:best $79 investment for reading u can make

Only someone who has never handled a Kindle could possibly recommend a tablet instead. Tablets are fine for watching a little TV, quick web use, and some really basic games. The e-ink screen is a huge plus with a Kindle but it's the weight of a Kindle which is equally important. It feels like a small paperback, you can read it for hours, with a tablet you'd sprain your wrists.

You obviously have some degenerative disease! Possibly Osteoarthritis. You should see a Doctor!nkellingley wrote: with a tablet you'd sprain your wrists.
