It sounds good, but looking for gold with a detector would have to be fraught with hazard, wouldnt it? You would be much more likely to find UXOs.I have shares in a company that makes the top of the line detector, they cost more than 6K I think.Be good for the beach though.

I looks like my friend is going to buy it. I checked on the model its one of the top rated ones in reviews 4.8 out of 5, list price was over $500. Its set up for looking for specific color rocks.ken svay wrote:It sounds good, but looking for gold with a detector would have to be fraught with hazard, wouldnt it? I could not see donating to some one looking for UXO's it because it not recommended to be used for that I asked the mfg long time ago, and would feel bad if some one tried using it for that and missed one .
I feel good one of my friends will get it I know they will not do something stupid with it.

I think the problem would be more that you might be looking for something valuable and accidentally dig up a UXO.I could not see donating to some one looking for UXO's it because it not recommended to be used for that I asked the mfg long time ago, and would feel bad if some one tried using it for that and missed one .
Romantic Cambodia is dead and gone. It's with McKinley in the grave.

Yes I can see that being a problem.Lucky Lucan wrote:I think the problem would be more that you might be looking for something valuable and accidentally dig up a UXO.I could not see donating to some one looking for UXO's it because it not recommended to be used for that I asked the mfg long time ago, and would feel bad if some one tried using it for that and missed one .
I just wounder what other goodies the guys clearing the mine fields have found? My guess there is no place to look for hidden treasure that mine clearing would not have found already .
So for you treasure hunters out there its too late or your will end up blowing your self up. War screws every thing up for years after its finished.
