***EDIT*** Well, so much for the rebuild. Doubt anyone wants it now, front plastics are bashed in, leaking oil everywhere and it wont start. Sorry for wasting people's time that were interested, bike's going to the scrap heap now.

Hi all,
Turns out I am leaving in 4 days (January 28th) rather than the middle of February, there are things I have to take care of very short notice, possible I don't return to Cambodia after that.
Rebuild process

Ridiculously expensive for an 06 (usually in "good" shape they are $600-650). This is the same bike from the overhaul thread which has been completely rebuilt top to bottom, spared no expense, no shortcuts taken, rides beautifully. I've spent roughly $1100 on the bike and parts (which is only $300 less than a Smash V). I intended to rebuild it for myself as a daily rider because it's my favorite of the underbone bikes I've owned in terms of "full faring motorcycles", but I got lazy and didn't finish it until a few days ago.
Cosmetics. I didn't repaint the covers because...well, frankly I couldn't care less. Everyone paints covers here and uses crap paint.
Happened today
Overhauled at 18,455 km.
Mirrors from a Yamaha Townmate. You can actually see out of them.
Lightswitches and bulbs replaced.
Summary: (all parts straight from Thailand Suzuki)
111cc "overbore" motor
New crankshaft bearings
New Connecting Rod
New Engine valves and seals
New decompressor camshaft
New timing chain
New brake disk, brake pads
New rear brake shoes
New transmission bearings and shims (rebuilt transmission)
New clutches (primary and secondary
New tires and tubes
Rebuilt front shocks
Rebuilt genuine Mikuni carburetor
Lots of other misc stuff like the oil filter, air filter, spark plug, chain set (geared higher), etc.
Sorry, I haven't had time to take pictures, I will do so later on.
PM to see the bike, price is relatively firm as I'm losing $300 already at the above price, although I understand the apprehension at buying a bike for $150-200 over "market value". Take it or leave it, either way, just offering it.
$825 ono
(If you're wondering, a new Smash V (2013, not FI), is around $1400 ish depending on options.
Thanks

Suzuki Smashed....:(
Pics updated of the complete bike.
One question I got asked, "What spare parts do you have for it?"
Answer: not big stuff, but I have working switchgear (just bought as backup), front disc pads, (used rear brake shoes, look pretty new), an extra chain and sprocket set, extra piston pin and piston rings, extra speedometer cable.
Any problems?
The oil filter o-ring is leaking (takes 3 bolts to fix it, OMC will do it for $2). It just so happened that the one 0-ring I needed, they didn't have when I bought my parts bundle. It seeps, but that's it.

AK, Please sent me your phone number. I will be in P.P. on Sunday. [email protected] JOHN
Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most.
Bike's damn near useless without another $200 sunk into it. Thank you Cambodian drivers, I wont miss you one bit when I'm on civilized roads.

Leaving in 2 day mate - I wish you and your wife and family the very best of luck and hope you find much better peace of mind in future.
I came, I argued, I'm out
*sigh*, well no pics of the scene of the accident, couldn't find the camera feature on my Nokia brick.Florida wrote:pics, or it didn't happen
Bike doesn't look too bad honestly but the fact that it wont start now has me thinking it's going to take a bit more work than plastic panels.
Hey Dum Dum,
I was joking. You were rude to me but your presence here
was a good thing for the board.
One out of two ain't bad.
Happy Trails.............!

^I apologize about that, and I'll rude again because I can't recall when I've met you. I know I'm a bit of an irritable arse to begin with so it doesn't surprise me. Looks like I'm 1 for 4 now.
Don't forget to put Oil in the engine. Best of Luck in the future.
That's what awaits you, lol.
