Never done it, but what does rice cost when bought in bulk? I know there are grades, but whatever normal white rice you find everywhere is what I am looking for.
Price per Kg, or how much I can get for say $100...or even $300? I find the skin tax impossible to avoid, so looking for a guideline.

Rumdoul or Mailis rice (decent quality Khmer rice) costs around $40/45 for 50kg.
Basic broken rice 50kg for as low as $20, but it's crap and probably would insult even a poor person to gift them it.
Then there's plenty in between.
I'm no expert, but my family eat a lot of rice, the freaks.

Call this number and a representative of the Cambodia rice Federation will answer your questions. Better if you speak khmer. Ask a price by the ton or they won't answer your questions for a few kilo's.
Anyway white rice goes for about 450$/ton at the port.

Wow, he's serious. That really is the number for the Cambodia Rice Federation. I wonder if he calls them a lot.
Follow my lame Twitter feed: @gavin_mac
My family buys 100kg at a time and it comes to 340,000 riel per order or $84? It's Battambang rice, but not sure which kind.

From the CRF website
It is a FOB price so it includes the transportation cost to the port and loading costs. If you want a price at the source ask for an Ex.Works price.
