Double front rules out Garage Bar. Must be that Khmer bar that says PUB out front? Unless Happy Man Bar and Starlight are both being sold as a single unit.

Must be the place that was previously the spectacularly unsuccessful hostess bar, Zanzi pub.
It's a huge place, three floors plus roof area, but the equally huge rent kills any chance of turning a profit there.

Yeah, that occurred to me, but they are referring to it as a current restaurant, not a bar, and I thought it was currently a Hookah bar.youngwill100 wrote:Must be the place that was previously the spectacularly unsuccessful hostess bar, Zanzi pub.

Also, I thought you previously reported that the rent at Zanzi Pub was $3200, not $2900.

On a side note, I live on 136 and regularly buy my chicken fried rice from a corner property opposite the Oscar copycat place next to Candy bar. The lady has been forced to move due to rent going up from $1500 to $3000! Even at $1500/month that must have taken a lot of Khmer food sales to turn a profit.
It's probably a good location for a bar but would need a ton of work.
She's moving her restaurant further towards psar kandal, But I'm interested to see what happens to that property, if anything.

Looks like it has been taken on by the owner of Ostro/Corner bar/Why Not bar... expanding his 136 empire...
