Sounds like a recipe for disaster.Phuket2006 wrote:hire a manager? there goes at least $1,000/month plus whatever he eats and drinks
so there goes more than half ur profitIf you only make 2k a month per month profit.
PLUS u need make back the $65 grand.... you'd lose
Its a hands on business run with ur current sweetie or wife,( so u can take days or nights off here and there)
I've been a regular at Lone Star for ages, and I seldom see the the Texan who for work reasons seems to be overseas at exactly at the same time I normally spend in PP, but it's one of the few Western-run places I can think of -- in fact maybe the only place I can think of? -- that's run by Khmer family in the absence of the Western co-owner that delivers 100% consistently excellent food and service, regardless.
Lone Star is awesome as I've been saying on here for years, and I wish the current owners and their family all the best. However, I'm not really convinced that "ur current sweetie", whoever that may happen to be, would be able to successfully replicate the current business model, even for "a few days here and there."
