Dear Fellow Expats,
I've just recently moved back to Cambodia. I have some investment plan in Kep City, this will involve purchasing small piece of land. I've been checking out a few lands along the main road 33A (The road to White Horse). The road itself is still under contruction. People have been telling me outrageous prices for lands along this road. It's over my budget plans.
Does anyone own a land title along this road, a couple of kilometres from the Crap Market? Any idea for how much price per metre square?
Any comment on this is greatly appreciated, I want to have some accurate or good info about this before I make any decision.

ur right, prices in Kep are Crazy, land has doubled and tripled in past 2 years

You don't mention the size, price or what you can use the land for. Rice paddy could be dirt cheap for example ie 4000 dollar per hectare. Any chance of a little more info? Do you have a Khmer that you can trust? If not then the price will quickly increase.
We own 25 acres of fruit plantation. The first 4 hectares were at 4000 per hectare. The last 14 were at 2200 and all connected together.
The next lot of 15 hectares in negotiation is standing at 5000.We will wait. If you buy from those who need to sell now then you can save 50%.
Get in touch with the village chief in your area. He knows everyone and everything.

Thanks DF for your feedback, where is your land location? 4k per hectare is a very good price but the land I am looking for must be along the main road. The size should be enough to build a few offices. Should not be far from Crap Market, I am interested in the new road 33A (To White Horse). Just want to know if anyone knows the current price around that road area. Knowing from people around there is one thing but to get more information here will help me alot to make good decisions.
