I assume that you are refering to the timing chain? I havent replaced, normally if they need replacment they normaly make a noise, rattling type sound.
In all fairness it's an ok deal. But maintenance and gas will be a long, expensive affair. I used to drive an old S420 that drove very well but cost an average expat rent in monthly gas bills alone. I'm guessing it won't be very different here.

I would estimate that it costs around $50 to $60 per week for gas around town, and depending on how you drive less gas on reginal trips.
I will be exiting Cambodia in about 3 weeks and as a result I have reduced the sale price to $9,000 which considering what I have spent and the condition of the car its a good deal, anyway I guess we will see. I wonder if anyone here has done a Dubai cheers

Does this mean you have this car on bank finance and intend to dump it at the airport?
Sleep, those little slices of death — how I loathe them.

No mate, no finance, I was just being flippant.
I was briefy on holiday in Dubai when that mass exodus of delinquent borrowers were leaving town.
If one was to mirror the Dubai experience here in the Penh all that would happen is that the police would sell the vehicles and pocket the cash.

Good to hear. What was the final price?
Looks like a great car with lots of TLC and attention to detail on it. Wish I could have taken it off your hands, but my fleet is a little full at the moment. I’m sure the new owner will be pleased with it.
