Me too. It never really struck me as a place I'd be interested in though.
One of the advantages of being high up is that there are fewer mosquitos but with all that greenery all the way up I'd imagine that there are bugs at all levels. Could be wrong.

We were looking at it from Sisowath quay a few weeks ago and wondering if it was derelict with all that foliage. Looks cool though.

Looks great!
I understand you are looking for rental clients. But if you have time, might you answer some other questions?
I vaguely recall seeing the building finishing about 10 years ago. How long did it take to get the plant cover that well established. when did you start growing the walls with enthusiasm? What plant species would you most recommend?
I have a much smaller building, not in Phnom Penh, and Covid seems a good opportunity to experiment. I worry about weight, watering, normal building maintenance with the plants there. Plants, big branches falling off during storms.
Besides various sizes of planters, were their any special construction methods needed to carry the weight of the watered pants. What about building rain harvesting and plant watering issues? Any lessons learned you would be willing to share? Any major problems with wind storms?

Wasn't this building owned by whoever owned Yellow Pages in Cambodia, and I am sure it orginally started out as an apartment block!
k440, something to do when you're pissed.
When they build the other 10 bridges the Tonle Sap needs to Chroy Changvar, it might be interesting. At the moment I still couldn't do that Japanese Bridge every day, just not practical.

These are the real questions. We were talking about it a few weeks back and one of the friends present is involved in major constructions here. I'm not sure how it is set up, whether there is a lattice or what. It looks lovely but I can imagine that it comes with it's own problems. Bugs and even watering, without causing leaks? It's difficult enough to manage any place here besides having creeper roots undermining the structure.Guest9999 wrote: ↑Mon May 31, 2021 4:53 pmLooks great!

That is one of the nicest modern buildings in Phnom Penh.
Like many, I thought it was an apartment building when it popped up and went over with a view to renting.
Does it not get insufferably hot in the afternoon though?
