Over the next 2-12 months, will any schools in Cambodia risk hiring unvaccinated teachers?
Asking for a few who I expect will soon be out of work and looking for new positions.
Related questions:
1) How soon might borders and flights open to unvaccinated, unemployed teachers quickly burning through their meagre savings?
2) Come January, what is the expected hourly wage differential between vaxed and unvaxed teachers? The odd fly-by-night school, risking closure, might pay Khmer wages ($4-7/hr) for unvaxed expats, but competent, vaxed teachers will likely get small raises in the new year.
Unvaccinated teachers forced into new Careers?
afaik, no school is allowed to employ an unvaccinated teacher, and any place that did would probably be shut down pronto
small raises? I doubt it.
Friend has been working for same school for 5 years, no increase. If you mean a return to former wages, perhaps. He's not optimistic.

Those who don't want to get the jab should deal with the consequences.
Antivax and unvaccinated shouldn't be let in Cambodia in the first place.

Surely flights are open to unvax'd teachers already?
But only to go home, your home country won't turn you away. It's unlikely another country will want your dirty, disease ridden bodies.

The non-vaccines will surely face their death from illness as soon as possible so that the rest of us can enjoy the pleasures of a disease free world without them and their paranoid antics. Stupid people don't deserve a presence in a normalized world.
You are probably correct Mr Smelly. In most/all cases they can return home unvaccinated, but are sometimes required to quarantine, occasionally in expensive hotels.
I guess that's is the same if they want to pop into Thailand or Vietnam to look for work. They might be able to enter, but only with difficulty and higher costs. Does anyone know, do Thailand and Vietnam allow unvaccinated in-class expat teachers?
More and more countries worldwide seem to be including vaccination clauses in their border control processes, but probably airlines and transit hub airports won't ever bother asking about passenger vaccinations. Might that change?

If airlines want to fly on an international basis - they will be forced to enforce a No Vac - No Fly policy .
OH&S issues take president over everything else.
You cannot fly a plane if you cannot get staff to fly it.
Governments seem a bit shy in trying to enforce compulsory vac's on their citizens, but by stealth they will do it by forcing businesses to do so if they want to trade.

I refuse to go out with nothing more than a whimper followed by a small farting sound and a shit stain on my bed sheets..
Just thought I'd share that with you.

Logos,
Probably you and I both previously enjoyed how lightly the nearly negligible weight of Cambodian regulations rested on our shoulders. Over the last 5 or more years, regulations have multiplied, but I suspect you too still love the relative freedom. I guess that is why there are quite a few anti vax expats here now. I don't think many entered mid-pandemic.
scoffer,
I think so too.
busybee,
(Nice Clockwork Orange Avatar, but that guy is full-on Politically Correct, long before it was a thing. About the polar opposite from how you seem to see yourself. Methinks.)
Surely there are very crazy paranoid people on both sides of the pro/anti vax question. Pretty rational ones too. But if those in power are more pro-vax, why let it cause you grief? If Cambodian traffic cops want mirrors and helmets, I use them. Getting the vax is no more trouble, and similarly, it keeps officialdom off your back.
A simple truth whatever you think about private or public health and the virus.
