Thanks Cambodia,you inspire me.
I used to be a shithouse poet?
No,not like that.
I used to write poetry on shit house walls on building sites, some of it was pretty good but it did take time to do.
Anything to avoid work.

Golden Home on street 172 is very good. I stayed there for 2 months - indeed it was the 1st guest house I didn't move out of before moving in to an apartment. Rooms are $6-$15 and over $10 gets you AC.

O another note, There is a room for grabs in my house if anyone's interested. Short or long term, $125/ month. No deposit, money up front.

Ok. So yesterday I arrived in PP from Laos. The usual tuk tuk drivers were waiting outside the airport with one offering me a "free" lift on condition that I stay at the King Hotel on st110. When I arrived at said guest house i checked out the overpriced room ($20) but seeing I had avoided paying the driver $7 i thought it to be a good deal. One of the hotels employees took me to my room and noticed that it did not have towels. I had my own so i told him it would be no problem. I went downstairs, I ate, and then returned to my room to have a shower, half way through my weekly cleasning the same employee let himself into my room with a seperate key saying that he had heard me having a shower and wanted give me a towel. I told him politley to rack off.
Afterwards I left the hotel to meet with a fellow forum member to discuss share accomodation. We had a few beers and I returned sometime aftermidnight to find the hotel shut. I asked the same employee as before to grab a key for me. He said we would open my room for me. On the way up to my room he asked "I know you are straight guy but I have money (opening his wallet to show a couple hundred, probably fake, dollars), will you go with me" I laughed and said no, continuing up the stairs. When I realised he wasn't following me I turned around to see him cock in hand furiously jacking himself in the stairwell. This was the breaking point and I said:
-'DUDE PUT THAT AWAY AND JUST OPEN THE FUCKING DOOR"
"No, not until you show some body!"
-"FUCK OFF!"
For some reasons those words must have done it for him as he came all over the wall before fucking off down the stairs. I then had to get the security guard to open my room, where I lay sleepless waiting for exibitionist to come breaking down my door in a gimp suit. Checked out this morning, guy was no where to be seen, and moved to the cheaper, way better Lyon D'or which is staffed by women who can diddle themselves in front of me till the cows come home.
Hahaha that is hilariously.....traumatizing

Ive been reasonably happy with 11 happy backpackers on 136 st, $12 for AC room, decent well priced food in upstairs bar...good location close to bars and riverside etc....She will drop the price to $11 per night if you stay for more than a few days too

Have just stayed in "You Eng Hotel" http://www.youenghotel.com and highly recommend this place. In the past visiting Phnom Penh have always stayed around the river side in $15/16 guesthouses which in my opinion are absolute crap compared to this place. This Hotel may by more expensive but for a 4 star place worth the $22.50 a night I payed.
Also close to the airport which is handy for early/late arrivals/departures.

Wow, it's not just close to the airport, but from the website map, it looks like it's practically on the runway. It would take you 30 minutes in a tuk tuk to get anywhere you would ever want to go.

I just want to add to the list of hostel and guesthouses in Cambodia. There's a boutique hostel in Phnom Penh on Street 174 (Street Okhna Ket), very close to Golden Soriya Mall and St. Tropez club. Sla Boutique Hostel is very clean and it has a community style kitchen that ones can buy food from the market and cook it there. Their $1.50 mojito daily from 5pm to 11pm is something that you cannot miss. Rates start from $7-$10 includes a daily breakfast. All rooms are equipped with air conditioning, hot water shower, and personal lockers. Front desk opens 24-hour so there's no curfew, and free WI-FI is available in the communal area.

I would welcome expressions of interest in a potential short term investment (12-20 months).

Potential investor(s) would be offered a low risk ROI...
