There was tartare sauce but my indulgence for British food goes only so far. Mushy peas and vinegar on chips are an abomination. I took mayo, like any self respecting foodie.
What did you have for dinner?
was there much of a fillet fish under the thick batter deep fried heart attack coating? it don't look normal to me.
Yes. Everything bang on. It was actually in one of the best fish&chips places in London.

Heathen!
I reckon a dill and mint mayo would work well.

On that topic - Villa Grange was advertising these Great British classics recently.
Fish & chips.
Good old full English breakfast.
Anyway, they probably taste great but I was a bit surprised by the presentation. I'm not a fan of "crossed swords".

Romantic Cambodia is dead and gone. It's with McKinley in the grave.
Marks and Spencer Welsh lamb 'steaks', that I smuggled back Tuesday. Absolutely delicious. So much better than the lamb available here.

Yes the plating is a bit retarded, or do I mean pretentious? Both actually. Food looks good but what are those two piles of pale yellow stuff at the top and bottom of the plate? Almost looks like mashed potatoes.

I just opened a can of chickpeas and added some thinly sliced onion, chopped fresh chillies, fish sauce and a squeeze of lime.
Voila. Uno perfecto. A spicy chickpea salad.....and it's only 11:49 am.
